INFORMATION

The Grand Palais

The Grand Palais was built between 1897 and 1900 as
part of the 1900 Paris "Exposition Universelle" .
The construction of the Grand Palais, the Petit Palais
and the Alexander III bridge, were part of an architectural
programme destined to create a perspective between the
Champs-Elysées and the Invalides. After a period of
restoration begun in October 2001, the prestigious
Grand Palais site reopened for exhibitions and events in
September 2005.
